Bachelor Thesis: State-of-the-Art Monitoring of Multi-Application Environments in .NET

Real-time monitoring takes a crucial part in every big software application. Most business applications have a lifetime of multiple years or decades and due to the fast-paced nature of software it is necessary to update and maintain existing applications, and therefore their monitoring, regularly.

The goal of this thesis is to review the current PerformanceCounter-based monitoring solution of a multi-application real-world scenario (.NET Framework applications on Windows Server) and to research and propose solutions for future applications based on latest technologies like .NET 7, Linux based OSes and containerization.
